Links

Here are some interesting links. The list is intentionally limited to sites I really enjoyed visiting.

Galleries and museums

  • The Jane & Arthur Mason of the Mintmuseum. A virtual gallery to visit, with many pieces, and much more to see. A Must !

Art/Craft organizations

Other artists websites

Technical pages

  • Brian Clifford. Turned objects gallery of course, but also plenty of tips and tricks, jigs and complete projects described step by step.
For beginners, don't miss the small video clips about basic shapes execution in spindle turning (bead, V, cove, ...).
  • The Glendale Woodturners Guild.  Especially interesting for the tips section.  Grinding, finishing, tool making...
  • Darell Feltmate.  This site is very interesting, full of tips and projects. To be visited on a regular basis, as it is often updated.
  • Alan Lacer's site. A master of the skew. No fancy gifs or colors on this site, but the articles section is worth visiting.

Forums

  • The Woodturner forum in english.  A goldmine to find information about a special wood (worth turning or not for example), or debate about finishing or drying techniques.
    Look into the archives.
  • Another forum, Woodcentral. (look in the turning messageboard). 100% turning
